AI-Driven Surveillance Network

Initiated in 2022, ‘Eyes of the Forest’ is a strategic component of Anadolu Sigorta’s holistic sustainability framework designed to tackle the climate crisis. The project, in collaboration with Turkey’s Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, employs a state-of-the-art early warning network enhanced by video analytics, smoke detection systems, and advanced unmanned fire watchtowers. This initiative has led to the installation of 13 towers across key regions including Istanbul, Izmir, Bursa, and more, significantly enhancing rapid response capabilities.

These towers not only aid in fire surveillance but also guard against illegal activities such as logging, construction, and poaching, while bolstering the security of forest areas. They also support wildlife conservation efforts and facilitate emergency response coordination through their robust communication capabilities. By July end, the network aims to expand to 16 towers with additional units in Izmir, Bilecik, and Denizli.

International Sharing and Future Vision

During the conference, Anadolu Sigorta engaged with global experts, sharing the project’s success in integrating technology with sustainability to enhance fire management and awareness. The application of AI to preemptively tackle fires was highlighted as a transformative practice that preserves natural ecosystems. Celebrating its centennial anniversary, Anadolu Sigorta reaffirms its commitment to a sustainable future through this pioneering project, illustrating an unwavering dedication to merging ecological sensitivity with technological innovation.
