US specialty insurer Assurant has unveiled several key leadership appointments across Europe and Latin America. These include Felipe Sanchez as President, Europe, Diego Gomez as President, Assurant Mexico, and Ines Aramburu as President, Assurant Argentina.
Leadership Appointments
Felipe Sanchez, subject to regulatory approval, will oversee Assurant’s European strategy, driving growth in France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, and the UK. With over 30 years of experience, Sanchez brings a strong track record in global leadership, innovation, and business development.
Previously serving as President of Assurant Mexico, he has successfully built high-performing teams across the Caribbean, Central America, and the United States. Sanchez will report to Federico Bunge, President, International, succeeding Christian Formby, who has been appointed President, Specialty Solutions, Global Housing.
Until regulatory approval is secured, Formby will retain regulatory responsibility during the transition.
Diego Gomez, who has been with Assurant for two decades, steps into the role of President of Assurant Mexico after six years leading Assurant Argentina. With prior roles including LatAm COO, Chief Risk Officer, and European COO, Gomez will continue to report to Ricardo Fiuza, President, Latin America.
Taking over as President of Assurant Argentina, Ines Aramburu most recently served as Vice President of Assurant International’s People Organization. She will also report directly to Ricardo Fiuza.
