Chubb Ltd. Announces Key Leadership Changes in Europe and North America
In a significant leadership reshuffle, Chubb Ltd. has appointed Ana Robic as the new regional president for Europe, Middle East, and Africa. She steps into the role, succeeding David Furby, who has transitioned to the position of executive chairman for the same regions.
Effective April 1, Ms. Robic will oversee the operations of Chubb’s business interests across the United Kingdom, continental Europe, Chubb Global Markets, as well as the Middle East and Africa. In her new capacity, she will report directly to Paul McNamee, executive vice president of Chubb Group and president of Chubb Overseas General Insurance.
Ms. Robic, recognized as a 2016 Business Insurance Women To Watch honoree, joined the company in 1999. Last year, she was elevated to senior vice president of Chubb Group while also serving as the division president for North America personal risk services.
In a parallel development, Melissa Scheffler has been promoted to take over Ms. Robic’s previous role as the division president of Chubb’s personal lines business in North America. Ms. Scheffler, who currently serves as chief operating officer of North America personal risk services, will report to Juan Luis Ortega, executive vice president of Chubb Group and president of Chubb North America. Additionally, she will also assume the title of vice president within the Chubb Group.
