New Appointment at XS Global
Managing general agent (MGA) XS Global has appointed Gabriel Gross as Director of ART & Parametrics, effective March 1st, 2025, based in Paris.
Responsibilities and Goals
In his new role, Gross will lead the expansion of the firm’s parametric portfolio and secure additional capacity for a global diversified book of business. He is also tasked with driving the development of innovative parametric solutions by leveraging technology and industry expertise.
Professional Background
Gross is an established insurance executive with over 15 years of experience and a strong focus on innovation, technology, climate risks, and sophisticated risk transfer products. In 2011, he founded Meteo Protect, a Lloyd’s cover holder and reinsurance underwriting platform specialising in parametric insurance programmes, which was acquired by Cooper Gay in 2020. Since then, Gross has served as the Director of Parametric Solutions at Cooper Gay, where he developed parametric solutions, implementing the processes and methods from Meteo Protect. Previously, he was also the Chief Executive Officer of Atacama Innovation, a licensed insurance, reinsurance, weather derivatives broker, and Cooper Gay partner, focused on delivering sophisticated risk transfer solutions.
