Gallagher Re Strengthens APAC Team with Key Aon Executive Appointments
Gallagher Re, a prominent player in the reinsurance sector, has made significant strides in expanding its Asia Pacific (APAC) team by welcoming three seasoned executives from Aon. These strategic appointments are aimed at enhancing Gallagher Re’s operational capabilities in the region, with all new hires set to be based in Singapore.
The trio of executives includes Richard Jones, who previously held the position of CEO Reinsurance Asia at Aon. Having joined Aon in May 2019 as the Executive Chairman of its Reinsurance Solutions business in Asia, Jones brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Prior to his tenure at Aon, he spent an impressive 31 years at Guy Carpenter, where he held various leadership positions, including Chairman of Asia Pacific.
Also joining the team is Kyung Won, who served as an Executive Director at Aon for the last five years. His extensive experience includes over a decade at Guy Carpenter, where he most recently held the title of Managing Director and Head of South East Asia & Korea. This background equips him with a deep understanding of the reinsurance landscape in the region.
The third appointment is Vinay Ananthanarayanan, who has been with Aon for six years, where he held several leadership roles including Production Leader and Director – Head of SAARC & Sales Lead Philippines. His prior experience as an Associate Director at United Insurance Brokers Limited and a Risk Analytics Specialist at Aon Benfield further enriches his expertise.
