Throughout his career, he has provided insights and solutions to complex risk challenges for numerous financial institutions.

Before joining GAIP, Wong spent nearly 15 years at PwC, including almost five years in Sydney and over a decade in Singapore. He played a key leadership role in the risk and modeling services division across Southeast Asia, overseeing a team of more than 100 professionals.

At PwC, Wong led complex risk engagements for global, regional, and local insurers and reinsurers. His expertise spans due diligence, modeling, pricing, risk and capital management, data analytics, stress testing, and, more recently, climate-related risks.

“I look forward to working with the team and our partners to address critical challenges in building long-term risk resilience across Asia. Together, we aim to develop innovative solutions for pressing issues such as climate change, healthcare, and emerging threats like cyber risk,” Wong said.

GAIP focuses on producing actionable research insights, developing policy recommendations, and co-creating innovative solutions to enhance long-term risk resilience in Asia. The organization operates as a tripartite partnership between the global insurance industry, regulators and policymakers, and academia.
