Appointment Announcement
Employers Holdings, Inc., a provider of workers’ compensation insurance and risk management services, has announced the appointment of Marvin Pestcoe to its Board of Directors, effective March 3, 2025.
Professional Background
Pestcoe brings extensive experience to the board, having retired from Langhorne Re, a global reinsurer specializing in life and annuity portfolios. He served as Executive Chair and CEO of Langhorne Re from January 2019 to April 2021, continuing his involvement on the company’s board until March 2023. Prior to his tenure at Langhorne Re, Pestcoe held various executive roles at Partner Re between 2001 and 2017 and at Swiss Re New Markets from 1997 to 2001.
Industry Credentials
A Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, Pestcoe has a distinguished career in the reinsurance and insurance industries. He currently serves on the boards of several private and public companies, including Hamilton Insurance Group, Ltd., where he chairs the Underwriting Committee and sits on the Audit and Investment Committees. Additionally, he serves on the board of Catalina Holdings (Bermuda) Ltd.
