Introduction
Miller, the independent specialist re/insurance broker, has announced the appointment of three senior professionals to its newly established M&A and Strategic Solutions (MASS) team.
Team Leadership
The newly formed team will be led by Andrew Johnson and Edwina Charlton, both of whom bring extensive expertise in the M&A and insurance sectors. Joining them is Rupert Newman, who takes on the role of Head of Broking within the MASS team.
Team Mandate
The team’s mandate will include transactional risk insurance, alongside the development of specialist tax and contingent risk practices. Together, they aim to establish one of the pre-eminent full-service teams outside of North America. In addition to his leadership role, Andrew will collaborate with the wider business to drive growth initiatives across Miller.
Team Expertise
Johnson and Charlton each bring 20 years of combined experience in M&A law, having begun their careers in London and Asia. Their transition into insurance with Marsh has further deepened their expertise in the field. Rupert, with his background in broking, completes the team’s robust skill set.
Team Operations
Operating under Miller’s Professional & Financial Risks business, the MASS team will be based in London and serve a diverse client base that includes private equity firms, hedge funds, sovereign wealth funds, corporates, law firms, and corporate financiers. They will provide tailored advice on both domestic and cross-border risks, covering all industry sectors.
