Standing out with her egalitarian and inspiring leadership in the insurance sector, Pınar Kuriş, General Manager of QNB Sigorta, has succeeded in being listed in the “Turkey’s 50 Most Powerful Women CEOs ” list prepared by the Economist Magazine for the 7th time in a row.
Kuriş, who moved up three places to 22nd place this year, continues to inspire women leaders with her vision of creating an inclusive and fair working environment. This survey, which has been organized by Ekonomist Magazine for 13 years, aims to increase the representation of women in management positions and raise awareness.
Strong Steps in Women’s Employment
Kuriş, who adopts a people-oriented and inclusive leadership approach, drew attention to her efforts to increase the presence of women in business life and said:
“One of my biggest goals as a woman leader is to make the power of women visible in the business world. Removing obstacles in front of women is indispensable for a strong society and economy. When we compare the rate of women in senior and middle management positions in our country with OECD countries, we still have a long way to go. More women in management positions creates inspiring role models for young people and contributes to the profitability of companies from different perspectives.
Emphasizing that QNB Sigorta has integrated equal opportunity into its corporate culture with 68% female employees and 50% female representation in senior management, Kuriş stated that they have implemented practices to ensure that women not only exist in business life but also continue their careers under equal conditions.
QNB Sigorta remains committed to creating an egalitarian and inclusive working environment by supporting the strong presence of women in the sector.
