Ryan Specialty Introduces National Programs Unit
International insurance leader Ryan Specialty has announced the formation of a new division, Ryan Specialty National Programs, within its Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers (RSUM) entity. This innovative practice group is designed to centralize and specialize in class-specific package business, catering to both admitted and non-admitted markets.
At the helm of this new initiative is Shawn Yingling, appointed as Chief Executive Officer. Joining the company in 2024, Yingling brings over three decades of expertise in program development and executive management, ensuring a strategic direction for the new division.
The National Programs division is set to launch with substantial scope and capacity by integrating several of Ryan Specialty’s business units. This includes the Irwin Siegel Agency, known for its tailored insurance solutions for human and social service organizations, and SUITELIFE Underwriting Managers, which specializes in insurance for hotels, boutiques, and resorts. Additionally, it will encompass programs acquired through the 2020 acquisition of All Risks, Ltd., offering specialized coverage across a variety of niche industries, such as property, casualty, and workers’ compensation.
Miles Wuller, Global CEO of Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers, expressed optimism about the new structure, stating, “We believe that by uniting these operations under one leadership and operational framework, we will enhance focus, efficiency, and foster innovation in the niche specialty package program segment.”
