
Appointment of James Anderson
Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer SiriusPoint has announced the appointment of James Anderson as Global Chief Pricing Actuary, effective May 12, 2025. In this role, Anderson will lead the global actuarial pricing team, enhancing SiriusPoint’s pricing framework, business insights, and portfolio analytics. He will also work closely with IT to implement standardised pricing infrastructure across the company. Based in London, he will report to Anthony Shapella, Group Chief Underwriting Officer, and Justin Brenden, Chief Actuary.
James Anderson’s Background
Anderson brings over 20 years of actuarial experience to SiriusPoint, joining from EY, where he was a Partner advising London Market companies on pricing and portfolio management strategies. Prior to that, he spent 11 years at Allianz, most recently as Deputy Chief Pricing Actuary, CUO Global Pricing. His prior roles also include Marine, Energy & Accident & Health Actuary at Brit Insurance and P&C Reserving & Capital Modelling Actuary at Swiss Re.
