
Statement on Unemployment Rate from TÜİK
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has announced the unemployment rates for the fourth quarter of 2024. According to seasonally adjusted data, the unemployment rate decreased by 0.1 percentage points to 8.6%. The number of unemployed individuals aged 15 and over recorded a decrease of 23,000 compared to the previous quarter, amounting to 3 million 80 thousand people.
Historic Peak on a Quarterly Basis
Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vedat Işıkhan, shared the following information regarding the announced data:
