Winter Run Istanbul 2024: The Energy of Winter was Experienced on Bağdat Street
Winter Run Istanbul, organized around the world and held for the third time in Turkey this year, was held on February 15-16 with the sponsorship of Anadolu Sigorta. Organized by Dust Event, this exciting event took place on Bağdat Street. Winter Run Istanbul, which set out with the motto “Europe’s biggest winter run”, brought together winter sports enthusiasts and provided unforgettable moments.
In this important period of celebrating its 100th anniversary, Anadolu Sigorta undertakes many projects to promote sports and healthy living. This year, Anadolu Sigorta continued its contribution to sports by supporting Winter Run Istanbul, which it sponsored last year as well. The event took place on Bagdat Street on February 15-16 with the participation of thousands of athletes, and this year children also took part in this enthusiastic atmosphere.
The first day of Winter Run Istanbul started on February 15 with the Kids Run event, which was attended by children and witnessed very colorful moments. Then, on February 16, the main race for adults took place. Caddebostan Beach, the busiest running route in Istanbul, was designated as the foyer and starting point of the event. This year, sports events and competitions with prizes were also organized at Şaşkınbakkal Event Area throughout the weekend.
Participants challenged the cold weather conditions and had a unique experience by running in the heart of the city. The 5K course, which was added for the first time this year, expanded the scope of the event by offering a new option for those who want to run shorter distances. For the last three years, Winter Run Istanbul has been more than just a race, it provides a platform where participants can have fun by discovering themselves and their limits.
